Hobnail pumpkins….kinda.

Pumpkins are not my thing.
But…I have a pumpkiny thing for every day this week!
When I decorate a pumpkin
When I embarrass a pumpkin I feel less of a crafter.
Whey does a pumpkin frustrate me so?

Pumpkins are along the lines of vignettes for me.
Not in my vocabulary as a crafter/creative person.
I didn’t do justice to a feather pumpkin (did you see the Diva pumpkin?)
But. I thought a hobnail pumpkin I could manage.
And I did…kinda.

I’m getting good at pictures.
That’s all I am saying.
Because those little dots on those pumpkins don’t look that great.
And they don’t even look great in the picture.
In real life…not good.

It is a simple enough concept…
Use hot glue to make little bumps all over the pumpkin
mimicking the hobnail.
Don’t know what hobnail is?

It’s the vases and dishes with all the bumps all over.
Usually vintage. Often white.

Here they are after they were painted.
I had a bright idea to add ribbon on the stems.
Long explanation…it didn’t work.

So, I glittered them instead.
And we ended up with these…

My hobnail pumpkins.
Kinda.
My Diva pumpkin and Hobnail pumpkins are going to the party at Debbiedoo’s, Fox Hollow Cottage, and Mom 4 Real’s.
Even Cinderella got to go to the ball!

Linking up this post with these happening places…
