Speedy to make, these Orange Julius popsicles are full of creamy, citrusy flavor just like the drink you got in the mall. Smooth, creamy, with a lovely citrus and vanilla flavor.
Are you looking for deliciously easy and fun popsicle recipes? Try my Cookies & Cream Popsicle for a fun, frozen treat.

My childhood summer memories are filled with popsicles. The cheap kind that came in a handful of flavors and everyone seemed to want that certain flavor (ahem, cherry!).
There isn’t any reason to reach for purchased popsicles (unless you like the nostalgia Rocket Pops bring) when you can make up a delicious batch in only a few minutes and with properly good ingredients.
This recipe tastes like a classic Orange Julius you would find at your mall, comes together in a short time, and uses ingredients you probably already have. You will love them AND your kids will love them. And there won’t be fighting over the flavors! Everyone picks this one.

Orange Julius Popsicle Ingredients:
- Orange juice concentrate. Keep this easy with orange juice concentrate that packs all kids of flavor and is already frozen…bonus!
- Milk. Use a full-fat milk for the best results. If you need a dairy-free option opt for coconut milk rather than almond milk or another nut milk. Nut milks don’t freeze well.
- Vanilla yogurt. Vanilla yogurt is tangy, creamy, and freezes well. It makes a great ingredient for popsicles. The vanilla mixed with the orange gives this popsicle the classic orange julius flavor.
- Sugar. A little bit of sweetening goes a long way in this popsicle. If you have it, use superfine sugar to get a great texture. But if you are using the blender, traditional sugar works just fine.
- Vanilla. Add a good does of vanilla for really great flavor.
Tools Needed:
- Ice Cream Mold. I have 2 kinds of molds I use. You’ll see that I use a different mold in the Cookies & Cream Popsicles. This is so that I can press cookies into the mold. This recipe is a simple pour-in and I prefer using a traditional stand-up mold for it. I can get more popsicles in a shorter space.
How to Make Orange Julius Popsicles:
- Combine orange juice concentrate, milk, yogurt, sugar and vanilla in a blender.
- Blend on medium low speed until fully combined.
- Pour into popsicle molds and allow to freeze for at least five hours or overnight before serving.

Store/freeze:
-To keep popsicles frozen for a short time (like for a bbq) lay them on top of a deep pan filled with ice. Cover with aluminum foil and open only to remove a popsicle.
-Keep your frozen popsicles in a plastic bag for a few days. Only put them into the freezer bag when they are fully frozen or they will freeze together.
-To keep popsicles frozen for a long time wrap them individually in plastic wrap and then store in a plastic bag. They won’t be touching each other so there isn’t a reason to worry about them being fully frozen when wrapped.
