This margarita recipe is the one you’ll be drinking all summer. Low on calories, high in fresh fruit and flavor…you’ll be making these all summer long!
These make FANTASTIC non-alcoholic sippers. Trade out the Tequila for club soda, ginger beer, or ginger ale.

Juice, juice, and….tequila! Those are the ingredients of this yummy margarita. And you can feel sooo good knowing that while you drink an ITZY bit of alcohol you are getting far more nutrients. Makes this margarita totally healthy :).
Why gold tequila?
Two reasons. One-I like to have it on hand for Tequila Chicken Marinade, in the summer. Two-I think it has a softer flavor that works perfectly in this margarita. Be aware, though, that you want to be sure your tequila says 100% Agave on it.

This recipe gets made differently every. single. time. I make it. Sometimes I don’t have any limes and use lemons, instead. Sometimes I juice a whole grapefruit and other times I just use some a carton of grapefruit juice.
This recipe works fantastic for large batches of margaritas! I make up enough for 4 drinks in a large mason jar and pop it into the fridge. I simply add it to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and TA-DA…fresh margaritas! Great for parties!

I prefer to use Rose’s sweetened lime juice instead of simple syrup. Rose’s tastes like lime AND provides that little bit of sweetness.
You can make your own flavored simple syrups (I love these for my coffee!)! Try this easy flavored syrup recipe.
You can totally use simple syrup or agave nectar if you don’t have any Rose’s. Although, if you like making margarita’s I would highly suggest that you grab a bottle the next time you are at the grocery store.

Fresh grapefruit juice makes this margarita a “grapefruit margarita”. However, try using oranges, pomegranates, watermelon, blackberries, and raspberries. Just sub out the amount of grapefruit juice for whatever juice you prefer.
Try my orange jalapeno margaritas or rhubarb margaritas for more fun twists on the classic drink!

The salt on these rims contains margarita salt, fresh lime & grapefruit zest, and a bit of chili powder.
I can honestly say that I am sipping on one of these margaritas while I write this. This one has very little tequila in it so…it’s basically a health drink :). I even added a bit of jalapeno for a fun spice. So good.
