This is a super fun idea for the kids on April Fool’s Day. Warning: It’s packed with alot of sugar! But, hey, they’ll get a kick out this fun “fake” spaghetti and meatballs!
I made this for my son Levi many years ago and he absolutely loved it! The look on his face when he realized it wasn’t REAL spaghetti and meatballs was priceless!
Why is it that our first instinct when we don’t recognize something is to be scared and disgusted? His face quickly changed when he realized he was eating frosting, jam, and chocolate. Seriously, what kid wouldn’t want a plate of those ingredients?

"Gotcha" Spaghetti & Meatballs
Ingredients
- white frosting
- Strawberry jelly
- red food coloring
- Ferrero Rocher
- shredded coconut
Instructions
- Use a ziplock bag with the corner cut off to squiggle "noodles" on to a plate with the frosting.
- Mix strawberry jelly, water, and food coloring together until it has a good consistency and color to resemble pasta sauce. Top the "noodles"
- Stir the chocolates into a little bit of "sauce" and place them on top of the "noodles" and "sauce" .
- Add shredded coconut to the top for "cheese"
