Is there anything more perfect in all the land than Chocolate Cookie Dough Truffles?
I don’t think so either.
Sigh. You wonder how they taste, I bet? Are they really as good as they sound?
A resounding YES. Yes. Yes. And Yes.
You start with the best cookie dough recipe on the planet, but DON’T use the eggs the recipe will call for. Use a bit of milk instead to give the necessary moisture. You, after all, are looking for perfect deliciousness, not salmonella poisoning. Roll the cookie dough up into perfect little balls and chill the little dough balls for an hour or so.
Now use whatever version of chocolate dipping you prefer. In this case, I got a little package of ready-to-melt candy coating. It was fast, easy, and convenient. You might like to melt up a chocolate bar, chocolate chips, or perhaps you like to use candy coating. It is completely up to you! Dip the cookie dough into the chocolate and set aside to cool. If you like (and I like!!), add sprinkles or colored sugar to the tops while the chocolate is still soft.
Tip: Once the coating has hardened and cooled you need to store these in the fridge.
