A classic martini recipe gets a color-changing effect with the addition of a butterfly pea flower simple syrup.

- 2 oz gin
- 1/2 oz vermouth
- 1 oz butterfly tea simple syrup
- 1/2 fresh lemon
For the Butterfly Tea Simple Syrup
Get Recipe Ingredients
In a chilled martini glass swirl the vermouth.
Add the gin to the glass and stir.
Pour in the butterfly simple syrup.
Squeeze the 1/2 of a lemon into the drink when ready to serve.
If desired, add a dash of bitters.
Garnish with a wedge of lemon and a butterfly tea flower.
Buttrfly Tea Flower Simple Syrup
Combine 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of sugar in a heavy sauce pan. Bring to a low boil.
Add 8 dried butterfly tea flowers to the boiling water and simmer on low for 4 minutes.
Strain the flowers from the syrup and chill the syrup.
