An easy one-bowl cookie full of ginger and apple.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/8 cup brown sugar or molasses, or honey
  • 1 apple chopped small I used a Granny Smith

Instructions

  • Beat sugars, butter, and egg together.
  • Add flours, spices, and baking soda. Beat together.
  • Stir in chopped apple.
  • Roll into balls 1-2 inches in diameter.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes on 350 degrees.
  • Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon while warm, if desired.
