- 1 pound ground beef
- ¼ cup onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg beaten
- ½ cup cream
- ¼ cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 20 cheddar cheese curds, frozen about ¾ inch in size
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Using your hands, mix the ingredients together just until mixed.
Form into 1 ½-2 inch balls.
Indent the center of the meatball and insert the cheese curd.
Close the meatball around the cheese being sure it is fully covered.
Place on cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown (time depends on the size you choose to make your meatballs)
Serve immediately or freeze.
Try serving these up with a simple sauce of hot sauce, honey, and oil. Yummy!
The cheese is frozen before being put into the meatballs to ensure they don't melt out of the meatballs.
