Dairy Free Wild Rice Soup

  • 1 cup cooked wild rice
  • 3 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 10 ounces (1 can) chicken broth
  • 2 cups Silk Almond Milk (or Silk soy milk, if you prefer)
  • 1-2 cups diced chicken
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • Melt the butter in a large pot on medium heat. Put in the onion and celery and cook gently for about 5 minutes on low heat.
  • Stir in the flour. (it will look like a paste...perfect!)
  • Slowly add the broth and stir. Cook until thickened, stirring often. About 4 minutes.
  • Add the rice, chicken, and Silk Milk and heat through, stirring often.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
