It’s our favorite time of year! The time of year when we pull out the whiskey and make all of the whiskey drinks! Can I tell you a secret, whiskey cocktails are my favorite! The darker, smokier, and generally (as my daughter would say) more woodsy… the better!
Some of you might not like your whiskey cocktails deep and dark, like me. I’ve included some whiskey cocktail recipes for you. I’m going for the whiskey sours, old-fashioned’s, and Irish mule’s. So good!
My favorite Whiskeys and Bourbons:
- J. Carver –> we live next door to the great great grandson (give or take a great) and I can genuinely say this is great stuff! Made in MN, too!
- Willett Pot Still Reserve –> my favorite of all time. This is for drinking neat. So good but oh so pricey. I usually only get a shot of this at my fave whiskey bar.
- Bulleit Rye –> for cocktails this is a good and budget-friendly option easily available.
- Dickels Sour Mash –> another one great for drinking neat or for treating yourself to a great cocktail and fairly budget-friendly.
I’m ALWAYS looking for new one’s to try so if you love a particular brand of whiskey or bourbon, let me know so I can give it a try too!
So here’s our list of the best whiskey drinks.
