Making homemade gifts for kids usually isn’t any cheaper than just buying them, let’s be honest. Unless you are really, really brilliant about what you make and buying the supplies…it can cost more. Luckily, I’ve been brilliant this year. Being honest here, people. But even with the added cost, I still try to make homemade gifts because:
a. they are personalized
b. they are more special
c. they can’t throw them away as easily (bahahah!)
d. I like to.
But I find that making homemade gifts for kids is so much more challenging than their taller, older, fatter counterparts. And…as I mentioned yesterday…making homemade gifts is the only Christmassy thing I’m doing this year. It can be just too much. Wouldn’t you agree?
So, just in case you like to make homemade gifts, and just in case you are at a loss for what to make, I’ve gathered some of my favorite ideas for homemade gifts for kids to give to you. Most are from here at NellieBellie, but there are a great many from other very talented (see how I stuck myself in that category!) crafters. Some are lame, true…but some are pretty fabulous!
I’ve also tried to put this collection together so that all of these homemade gifts are fairly simple with easier to find supplies. That isn’t always the case, but I tried. I wanted to put together a list that would ACTUALLY be valuable.
