Did you notice?? Did you notice yesterday (which was Day 3) I showed you Day 4’s pinned recipes. Doh. It’s been a long week. Apparently I can’t count. Anyways, today I want to take a break from the pinned recipes and show you one of my family’s favorite fall recipes. And this time I tried making it with Pumpkin Spice Country Crock…so good!
Whipped Yams
This great sidedish is one of the easiest, yummiest, and bestest ways to eat veggies!!
Yes, I just said bestest. It applies to this dish. Do you want your kids to eat veggies?? (your husband?) Try these!! It’s so simple!
1. peel a bunch of yams (you can sub sweet potatoes…that’s what I did!) ![]()
2. boil said yams in water until tender (I cut them into chunks first so they go fast. I have no patience) ![]()
3. Grab your blender and whip those yams up. ![]()
Put in a large dollup of Country Crock Pumpkin Spice (0 grams of fat people!)and blend.
Season with salt and pepper. Enjoy! This tastes like Thanksgiving in veggie form. So tasty!!!
I realize that this is a sponsored post for Country Crock. So, it might seem like I’m pulling your leg and trying to sell you something. I’m not. Cross my fingers, hope to die…this really is wonderful!! Try it!
And go over to The Crock Country Chronicle and see more ideas for yummy veggies! (Yes THAT time I was selling something. Gotta keep you guessing!)
Now for the part that YOU get to be all selfish in… You get to take stuff and keep it.
Yay you!
You will get a Thanksgiving Kit from Country Crock that include this awesome stuff…
And this great scalloped pan and wire rack.. http://www.surlatable.com/product/PRO-1030014/Wire-Baker-Racks (really…go see, you’ll love it!)
