Sigh. Do you see that title. In writing this post I am admitting that I do…indeed…have a grown-up job. I don’t just play, craft, and be silly. Sadly. Because I am sooo darn good at that! Bt, today I want to show you my vintage office. Or, that’s what I am going for. You tell me if I succeeded!

This means that I do spend many, many hours in the office. Doing accounting, shipping, billing, all grown-up computering things. And in the spirit of all things blogging…and showing you me…I’m letting you in to my office space.
This space is a bit of a hodpodge. I wanted bright, homey, grandma-ish, and practical all in the same space. And it all had to be on a potato chip budget. Like…1 or 2 potato chips. Not the whole bag.
This is a part of a larger room that is my crafting space, our family entry, storage, a “guest area” and my office. I am showing you the only thing clean. Really, it’s bad. It’s like Michaels exploded and landed all in one pile….in my craft room!
I recently added this book page wall and love it! That bookcase used to be an ugly headboard (read about that here) and I found this old scale at a garage sale. I snatched that baby up and added a basket with a plant. It’s not permanent….I’m looking for the perfect thing to hang. But for now, it works. Isn’t that the coolest!
This corner is virtually unusable. I am just too short to reach across the desk to this corner. I simply stapled jute twine to the walls to create a spiderweb effect. Add pictures with paper clips and you have an instant gallery. Love!
I made this top. Out of lathe. I nailed those in and sanded and sanded. Then stained and stained. It is still rough. And not perfect. But, I love it! Like muah…I could kiss it…love! So pretty!
This was just a fun little thing I wanted to show you. An old spring works great for pens, markers, and scissors. And looks cute too!
There you have it…my office. My grown-up space. My “real job” happens here. And that will probably be the last time we talk about THAT for a long, long time!!
