Do you know what is coming up Sunday night?? The Oscars. I love watching the Oscars. Katie and I get our Ginger tea and cookies and sit ourselves down to enjoy the night. We like to see (okay, critique. come on…you do it too!) the beautiful gowns, see who is with who, and check out what’s “in”. It’s our “girlie” night. Every girl needs one or two of those!
And then, we pick up the People Magazine 2012 Oscars Double issue a week later and pour over it. Sometimes we remember a gown from the show and are interested to see if our critique of it matches the “pro’s” (usually, it doesn’t.). And, we love to check out the gowns we missed. Katie, well…she’s not so good at waiting her turn to read the magazine. She’ll be cuddled up next to me reading over my shoulder. Not such a bad thing, I think? People Magazine, pretty gowns, cuddling with my girl…nope, not bad at all!
This year I’m looking to see what Sandra Bullock is wearing to the show. She’s one of my favorite actresses and I love her easy style. And when she has red lips, she kills it!
Not going to lie, I always try to predict what the critics are going to say about Meryl Streep. I usually like something they critics hate, or vice versa. I guess my fashion sense isn’t in touch with what’s current. I don’t think I’m terrible concerned. Just saying.
And Katie is interested in Katniss. Otherwise known as Jennifer Lawrence. I do know who she is. But, just barely. She’s like…12?
In the manly department well, there’s only one that is every very interesting…
I’m hoping that some of my favorites are going to make it into the People Magazine Oscars issue. Which I should mention goes on sale March 1st and leaves newsstands on March 18th. And, I hope my favorites live up to my expectations of fabulousness!! How about you? Who are your favorites? Who are you always looking forward to?
