I want to talk about something important, necessary, and delicate.
Last week I talked about boobies.
This week I want to address…nuts. This craft is all about nuts.
And in this craft, size matters.
This is Squirrel’s trophy plaque.
It serves no purpose whatsoever except being cute. And giving me a reason to say nuts many times. Admit it….you are jealous. It’s okay.
Okay, okay…moving on. To the craft about nuts. Ha…had to get that last one in.
Yep, it’s nothing to write home about. It won’t get me any awards or ribbons. But, I get to put nuts on the wall and call it art.
Waha!!
This is a quick and simple little craft that is loads and loads of fun for the kids!
I made fake acorns from beads and buttons. But…send your kids out looking for the real thing. And then mount the largest ones they find. Guaranteed good time!
Okay, let’s show the quick how-to make nuts with beads. You need a large wood bead, a button, and a small bead for the stem.
Glue the button on top of the wooden bead and the small bead on top of the button. Wala…acorns!
Use a small wooden plaque you have lying around. (You can find these in the craft section for $1)
I happened to have this fab cork label thing. But, you could make something from scrap paper, buy something even more fabulous, or skip it.
I added gold trim around the edges just to be obnoxious. I also attached the label with upholstery tacks. Not very straight, by the way. But…let’s ignore that.
There you have it. You can show off your giant nuts with pride !![]()

Hello mother.
Hello mother.
You know…. there might have been a time or two I wanted to put someone’s nuts to the wall.
Bliss
I always know something fun or something funny is happening here:) Oh yes, I do like your nuts!! Thanks for the giggles:)
Yep, can’t be all serious all the time. My blog is my play place.
My nuts are pretty great
You my friend are nuts
Ha ha…I see what you did there
.
Okay. That’s it. We should probably be best friends. (Too soon?)
Hmmm. I may need to interview you. At a coffee shop. That sneaks Baileys in. And find out if you love hot-glue, sequins, and glitter.
Let’s give it a few days. Just in case
You sure know how to write a captivating headline!!
