Beautiful Jewelry …on the cheap!
Back to school shopping can be hard on the wallet. Especially if you have girls!
Not only do you have the various clothes and shoes and bags and makeup and and and…
You have accessories. And girls take their accessories seriously! No messing around!
I would love to buy my daughter new necklaces and earrings each year but…NOT!
Hello!! Even if I shop at the cheapest store…out of my budget!
So, learning how to make a few easy and cute pieces is super helpful!
So, I thought I would show you our recent makes…
Isn’t this bracelet pretty! Vintage and sweet…it looks great with a simple tee and jeans!
Here is the how-to…
You need to have a bracelet. And a hard surface for your pom pom to be glued to.
I used a magnetic clasp cord bracelet (easy find at a craft store) and a handy jewelry thing.
(I have no idea what it is called…but I found it at the craft store and my bracelet cord just
slides thru).
You could use a ribbon and button. Or a bangle bracelet. Or whatever you find!
You need to cut many, many circles of fabric roughly the same size as a quarter.
Then fold it in half then in half again. You need the little corner that is created.
Hot glue that little corner to the top of your bracelet.
Do it again…and again…and again. Glue them nice and tight to each other until the space is covered!
(gotta love that nailpolish …yuck)
For this effect I used lace in the center and alternated with tulle and ribbon on the edges.
See the center…all nicely hotglued!
So sweet!
Another REALLY REALLY easy little accessory and fantastic for teens…
These safety pins are from the sewing department.
Some pretty beads are hotglued on to the ends and…tad-da!
And them on my ears…
I have had many fun accessories on this blog. Well, I think so anyways…
Here are some past posts for even more ideas…
